Teaching
The Chair of Development Studies in Geography at Bayreuth University deals particularly with applied research on development problems in Sub-Sahara Africa and resultant effects in Europe.
This becomes also obvious in our teaching. In the winter term Prof. Dr. Lohnert offers a “regional lecture on Africa” and in summer term on “global structures”. Seminars in urban, settlement and population geography with African focus are prepared by members of the team.
